2026 United Nations Water Conference (Final Round of Special Accreditation)
The 2026 United Nations Water Conference, co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, aims to accelerate the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. *If your organization is in ECOSOC Consultative Status or accredited to the previous United Nations Conferences (check the consolidated list below), DO NOT APPLY for this ad-hoc Special accreditation. A separate registration portal for conference registration will be available closer to the event date.
STAKEHOLDER PARTICIPATION
As guided by resolution A/RES/78/327, other relevant non-governmental organizations — including civil society organizations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector, and philanthropic organizations whose work is relevant to the 2026 Water Conference — that are not in consultative status with ECOSOC, not accredited to the previous United Nations conferences outlined in resolution A/RES/78/327, and did not receive special accreditation through the first open call for special accreditation held in early 2025 (check the consolidated list here), MUST REQUEST special accreditation to participate in the 2026 United Nations Water Conference.

*This ad-hoc special accreditation applies at the organizational level, requiring only one application per entity. Individuals may not apply for special accreditation.
*Projects fiscally sponsored by parent entities may not apply for accreditation. The fiscal sponsor must apply with proof of its legal status. Only entities with their own legal status may apply for special accreditation.
*Organizations approved for participation will be informed and will receive additional instructions regarding the registration process for their representatives.
